House Rules

The platform works because people follow these. Read them once. They're short.

Last updated: April 2026

01

The Core Rule

If a human didn't make it, it isn't on CKURO.

No AI-generated images. No Midjourney galleries. No "AI-assisted" loopholes where a machine made the image and a person added a filter. The definition is simple: a human being created this work using their own hands, mind, and tools. That includes digital tools, software, cameras, and code — as long as the creative decisions were made by a person.

This isn't a moral position against AI. It's a platform position. CKURO.ART exists specifically to be the place where you can trust that every piece was made by a person with a life behind it. That trust only works if the rule is absolute.

Violations result in immediate removal of all listings and permanent account ban, with no refund of platform fees.
02

Community Conduct

The forum, comments, and any community spaces on CKURO.ART are for artists and buyers to connect around work they care about. Keep it that way.

  • Be direct, not cruel.

Critique is welcome. Personal attacks are not. There's a difference between "this composition isn't working" and "you're talentless." One moves conversations forward. The other just makes the platform worse.

  • No spam or self-promotion flooding.

You can share your work in relevant threads and spaces. Dropping your shop link in every thread, DMing strangers unprompted, or creating posts solely to drive traffic to your listings will get you flagged.

  • No harassment.

Targeted harassment, coordinated pile-ons, or repeated unwanted contact toward any user — artist, buyer, or mod — results in an immediate ban.

  • No impersonation.

Don't pretend to be another artist, a moderator, or a CKURO.ART staff member. This includes usernames, avatars, and profile descriptions designed to create confusion.

03

Content Standards

CKURO.ART supports a wide range of artistic styles, subjects, and aesthetics — including dark, mature, and challenging work. The following content is not permitted under any circumstances:

  • Sexual content involving minors.

Absolute prohibition. This includes illustrations, rendered images, and anything that sexualizes characters who are or appear to be under 18. Violations are reported to relevant authorities.

  • Non-consensual content.

Content that depicts, glorifies, or eroticizes non-consensual acts is not permitted.

  • Real people without consent.

Realistic depictions of real, named individuals in sexual or deeply demeaning contexts. Fan art, stylized portraits, and commentary work operate in a different space — use judgment and err on the side of not uploading if you're unsure.

  • Hate content.

Work whose primary function is to dehumanize people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or national origin.

Mature content (non-explicit nudity, violence in a clearly artistic context, dark themes) is permitted and does not require special tagging beyond accurate category labels. When in doubt, ask before uploading.

Verification FAQ

Q: What does 'verified' mean on CKURO.ART?

Every artist on the platform has been manually reviewed by the mod team. Verification confirms that a real human being submitted the application, that the work in the portfolio is original human-created art, and that there are no obvious red flags (stolen work, AI generation, sockpuppet accounts). The ◈ VERIFIED badge means we've done that check.

Q: How does the verification process work?

You submit an application at /apply with your portfolio and a brief description of your practice. The mod team reviews it — usually within a few days. If approved, your account gets the verified badge and you can start listing. If declined, you'll get a note explaining why and you're welcome to re-apply after addressing the issue.

Q: What gets an application declined?

AI-generated work in your portfolio, work that appears to belong to someone else, an incomplete application, or work that violates the content standards above. 'Incomplete' includes applications with no portfolio link, no description, or no contact information.

Q: Can I sell commissions or physical work?

Yes. CKURO.ART supports digital downloads, commissions, and physical prints. The listing type determines how the transaction works — digital files are delivered immediately after purchase, commissions are handled through our commission flow, and physical items require you to ship directly to the buyer.

Q: What's the platform fee?

Artists keep 90% of every sale. CKURO.ART takes 10% to cover Stripe processing, R2 storage, infrastructure, and moderation. There are no monthly fees, no listing fees, and no setup costs.

Q: How do payouts work?

Payouts are handled through Stripe Connect. You'll connect your bank account during artist onboarding. Funds are released on Stripe's standard payout schedule — typically 2–7 business days after a sale clears, depending on your country.

Q: What if I suspect another artist is using AI-generated work?

Report it via the Contact page or flag the listing. Include the listing URL and what specifically raised the concern. The mod team reviews all reports within 48 hours. False reports made in bad faith (targeting competitors, coordinated reporting) result in action against the reporter.
